Dentistry INTRODUCING DR. GARY
SINAR Dr. Gary Sinar has been practicing dentistry for more than
20 years and welcomes all patients to his office in Farmington Hills. The
"family dentistry" sign above the office is a simple statement
of his philosophy of seeing all ages and types of patients from young children
to grandma or grandpa. Patients can receive all phases of dental care in
a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with little need to be referred elsewhere
for many specialty dental procedures. Dr. Sinar was born in Ohio and moved to
Michigan as a "transplanted" Michiganian in 1969 to attend college
at the University of Detroit. Following his graduation he worked as a research
technician for the Michigan Cancer Foundation studying human breast cancer.
Upon acceptance at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry he began
the profession that would be his life's work. In 1978 he graduated from
the School of Dentistry with honors and took a job as an associate in Warren,
Michigan where he worked until setting up his own office here in Farmington
Hills in 1981. Doctor Sinar's primary dental interest is Cosmetic
Dentistry, although he does Endodontics (root canal treatment),
complicated Crown and Bridge cases, Dentures, Partials, Extractions, Minor
Orthodontics and many other dental procedures for which patients are often
asked by their general dentist to see a specialist. Seldom are children
sent out to see a Pediatric Dental Specialist as the Doctor and his staff
enjoy children as a wonderful part of their dental patient family. He is
very heavily involved with the laboratories that make his crowns, bridges
and dentures and partials and often does a fair amount of the laboratory
preparation himself to ensure that "just right" end result for
each individual patient. In many cases a consultation for a particular type
of treatment for any patient is done at "no charge" and patients
never leave the office without a full explanation of treatment possibilities
and treatment options. Dr. Sinar always has the time to "explain what
he can do in simple easy to understand terms." Having lived in Farmington Hills since 1979, Dr. Sinar
is recently remarried. His wife, Sheri, is a Public Health Nurse working
for Oakland County. They share two terrific sons: C. J. (Christopher),
who recently graduated from the University of Michigan with dual Engineering
degrees and is now working for Ford Motor Company, and Brian, a second
year Mechanical Engineering student at Michigan State. (It has been tough
to pick a favorite team when the Spartans play the Wolverines in any sport.)
Also the Sinars share two wonderful daughters: Leah, graduating from North
Farmington High with academic honors and a participant in the Marching
Band, two years as Drum Majorette, and running girls track. She will be
heading to the University of Missouri in the fall of 2004 to study Journalism.
And Molly, an active fourth grader at Hillside school, involved in cheerleading
for the NFWB Vikings. The Doctor was actively involved as an assistant
soccer coach, an assistant scout master, and has worked as both a Firefighter
and Emergency Medical Technician for the Farmington Hills Fire Department.
He currently still holds his State of Michigan EMT license, being well
trained in emergency procedures both in and out of the office. Patients are the #1 reason for Doctor Sinar's success,

can be. MEET MICHELLE (MICKEY) AND TRACY Tracy is the dental hygienist in the office of Dr. Gary
Sinar. She has been a hygienist for several years and enjoys patients
both young and old. She is married and has a young son Conner. Tracy is
very friendly, knowledgeable, and is extremely gentle, while being thorough
in all hygiene procedures that she performs for patients. Her experiences
with her own son also give her a special knack in caring for most of our
younger patients. For a personable, caring touch from a dental hygienist
who makes her patients feel at ease and comfortable contact
our office to schedule your next dental hygiene appointment with Tracy. Michelle (Mickey as she prefers) is the office receptionist
and insurance coordinator. Mickey was a long time patient in the office
before being offered the job. Both her Mother and Sister have also been
patients in the office for many years. Mickey has a background in ART
and has been instrumental in helping to develop many of the printed brochures
in the office. She has the challenging task of keeping all insurances
and accounts under control for the many patients in the office of Dr.
Sinar and she will always do her utmost to answer questions about appointments,
insurance coverage, billing and even how to better understand most dental
